The Liver Transplant Symposium

Organised by the National University Centre for Organ Transplantation (NUCOT), The Liver Transplant Symposium (TLTS) is a scientific continual medical education (CME) event designed specifically for liver transplant physicians, surgeons, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals.

Inaugurated in 2015, TLTS aims to provide a collaborative platform for healthcare specialists to explore liver transplant topics in depth.

The National University Centre for Organ Transplantation (NUCOT) is honoured to have hosted the International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS) Annual Congress from 28th to 31st May 2025 in Singapore. This is the first time the Congress is being held in Southeast Asia and was officiated by Guest of Honour Professor Kenneth Mak, Director-General of Health, Ministry of Health.

The Congress served as a vital catalyst for driving innovations in liver transplantation, fostering collaboration, and connecting the global liver transplant community. Under the theme of “Advancing Liver Transplantation: Embracing Innovation for the Future”, the Congress featured 7 pre-congress workshops, 92 scientific sessions, and 270 speakers, attracting over 1,200 delegates —the highest in ILTS history. The Congress also saw a record number of abstract submissions.

This year’s ILTS 2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the ILTS congress, and it also coincided with the 10th anniversary of The Liver Transplant Symposium (TLTS), organised by NUCOT since 2015.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all faculty, delegates, and partners who contributed to the success of ILTS 2025. We look forward to continued collaborations that will shape the future of liver transplantation.

In conjunction with Singapore’s inaugural hosting of the International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS) Congress, a series of meaningful legacy projects have been launched to celebrate and extend the impact of this global event. These initiatives aim to raise public awareness about organ donation, honour the generosity of donors and their families, and highlight the life-changing power of liver transplantation. Rooted in community engagement and education, the legacy projects reflect Singapore’s commitment to advancing transplant care and inspiring a culture of giving that will endure well beyond the congress.
